I’m a husband, a father, an attorney, a business owner, and a lifelong Lake County resident who believes our local government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on real solutions.

Provide straight answers and open decision-making.
Act as a balance to a heavily-Democrat County Board, so that private and political interests do not outweigh the peoples’.

Responsibly steward Lake County’s incredible natural resources.
Plan for the future so today’s decisions don’t become tomorrow’s tax hikes.

Fight against regulations that add cost and complexity without improving resident quality of life.
Respect taxpayers by treating every dollar like it’s coming out of a family budget.

Support smart zoning and permitting that make it easier to build, buy, and renovate homes.
Remove unnecessary regulatory hurdles for families and small businesses trying to survive.

Lake County Budget by Fiscal Year
Lake County’s spending per year has climbed over $130 million since 2018, an increase of about 25%. Families are being forced to tighten their budgets, but county government refuses to do the same while spending taxpayers’ hard-earned money. Joe will fight the rising budget and push for responsible spending.
County's Share of Average Property Tax Bill
DuPage County, a similar Chicagoland collar county providing the same services, averages a 2% share of the average property tax bill. Lake County averages a 250% higher share. Joe will fight to reduce the waste, fraud, and needless spending that causes higher tax bills.
Average Effective Property Tax Rate
Lake County has the highest effective property tax rate of all 102 counties in Illinois. Joe will fight to bring relief to Lake County residents.
