Joe Receives the Support of the Illinois REALTORS

Joe Salvi is proud to have earned the support of the Illinois REALTORS® in his campaign for Lake County Board.

Lake County families are facing a housing affordability crisis. Rising property taxes, soaring prices, excessive regulations, and outdated zoning policies are making it harder for families to buy a home. “On a personal note, nearly all of my friends I grew up with in Lake County have moved out of the County (and many out of state). When I ask why, the most-cited answer is that is just too expensive to afford a home here. Sadly, I agree,” Joe says.

On the County Board, Joe will work to:

Make housing more affordable by reducing the government costs that get passed on to homeowners.

Cut unnecessary fees, regulations, and red tape that make building or buying a home more difficult and expensive.

Support common-sense zoning policies that give families more housing options while respecting the character of our neighborhoods.

Lower the property tax burden that makes owning a home in Lake County increasingly expensive year-over-year.

We need to make it easier, not harder, to own a home in Lake County. Joe is grateful for the Illinois REALTORS®’ support and their partnership in working toward a Lake County where families can afford to put down roots and call home.
